adapted from The Pioneer Woman
1 loaf Ciabatta or French Bread
2 sticks unsalted butter (yes!)
1 T. Kosher salt
1. Preheat oven to 350ºF. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
2. Slice bread in half lengthwise. Spread one stick of butter on each half on the bread. (Yes, one stick per half!) Sprinkle each half lightly with salt.
3. Bake bread butter side up for 10 minutes, enough time to let butter get absorbed and melted into the bread. Then, turn on the broiler. Broil for about 4-5 minutes or until the top is almost charred completely black. Don’t take it out too soon. Watch your smoke alarm!
4. Remove from oven, cut and serve.
If, per chance, you do want garlic bread add some roasted garlic to the butter before you spread it on the bread. Or, sprinkle top with a little Parmesan cheese before broiling.
2 minutes flat, plus baking time.
This was a hit all around. We even had a few sticks leftover and dipped them in marinara sauce the next day!
