1 | cup steel cut oats |
2 | cups water |
2 | cups 2% milk |
1 | teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1 | teaspoon granulated sugar |
2 | tablespoons strawberry jam |
½ | cup sliced fresh strawberries |
Combine the oats, water, milk, cinnamon, sugar and strawberry jam in the slow cooker and cook it on low heat for eight hours. Once it is finished cooking scoop a fresh bowl and top it with fresh berries. Scoop the rest into a 9×5 loaf pan and store it covered in the fridge until the next meal.
There are nearly endless ways to flavor steel cut oats, try adding different jams or fruits!
