Slow Cooker Nutella Swirl Chocolate Chip Pound Cake

Ingredients

cups all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon cream of tartar
¼ teaspoon kosher salt
1 cup unsalted butter
1 cup granulated sugar
eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
3 large tablespoons nutella
½ cup chocolate chips

Instructions

1. Spray in the inside of a slow-cooker insert with cooking spray and line it with parchment paper that comes at least three inches up the side. Stir together the flour, tartar and salt in a small bowl and set aside.

2. Melt the butter in a large bowl and stir in the sugar and vanilla extract. Stir in the eggs. Then add the flour mixture until just combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.

3. Pour the mixture into the slow-cooker and spread it evenly with a spatula. Dollop the nutella on top of the batter and use a butter knife to swirl it into the batter. Cook on high heat for three hours, or until a cake tester comes out clean.

Naptime Notes

Naptime Recipe Serving ideas

This cake has a nice fudgy texture and the nutella and chips are a little melted when they are first cooked. Serve it with ice cream or whipped cream.

Naptime Reviews

Given my husband ate it so quickly tells me a lot! We took the rest on the trip with us and none of it came home.
