Last weekend I invited friends over for a super fun house party to talk about Arla Dofino cheese and how it can be incorporated into healthy, everyday lunchbox food. I loved the opportunity to chat with my friends about this company I’m enjoying working with so much. I’ve developed a lot of great recipes with a variety of creamy, delicious Arla Dofino cheese, and this was the perfect chance to showcase how you can add Arla Dofino as an easy option to your lunchbox repertoire.
The cool part is that I’m not the only one getting in on the Havarti Party movement – there are 350 others hosting their own Havarti Party with Arla Dofino this weekend, using some of my recipes and sharing tips for packing healthier lunch options for their kids. Follow the party fun with #HavartiParty on Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest.
If you’re interested in hosting your own Arla Dofino Havarti Party, comment below and some of my readers will be selected to receive everything they need to host a naturally delicious, cheesy party! And don’t forget, there’s still time to enter to win a semester’s worth of cheese on the Arla Dofino Facebook page.
One of the first things I did was set up examples of how I serve cheese for snack or lunch. For example, a bowl of strawberries and Creamy Havarti is a real favorite in this house.
For lunch, both of my children have fallen for the Arla Dofino Gouda Slices. It is ideal for making ham and cheese sandwiches. As one party goer, Gracie, said, “I like ham and cheese, but hold the crust, please!”
She also agreed the that sliced Gouda makes an amazing snack on its own if that is what you prefer.
My daughter has become a big fan of make-your-own lunches, which is why I’ve been packing Bento-style boxes of food she can assemble herself. She likes classic cheese and crackers with fresh fruit on the side. I wish I could be a fly on the wall and watch her assemble these at school!
Arla Dofino cheeses come in so many cool flavors. The Dill Havarti is so delicious and my friend Lily loves it. I kept taking pictures of it in the palm of her hand before she devoured it. So good!
When packing cheese for lunch, I pack it in an insulated Thermos lunchbox with a cold pack at the bottom. The container I use stays nice and cool until lunchtime.
To give my friends a real taste of Arla Dofino I packed everyone a block of delicious creamy havarti for them to use in their kids lunches this week!
