Happy Holidays & More Big News!
I am checking in today to wish you all a happy holiday season! I hope you all are having a blast with your families no matter what you are celebrating. I have a lot of reason to celebrate this holiday season and I want to express my thanks, once again, for all of your readership and support this year. Publishing my first cookbook in March was a dream come true and I had such a blast on my book tour, especially the parts where I got to meet a lot of you. This summer I was thrilled to announce that we are expecting our second baby in January (less than a month from now!!), and today I get to share more exciting news: I am writing another cookbook!
Yup! Sometime in late 2014 or early 2015 Running Press will release my second book which is going to be all about the above and beyond cooking we all do for our families, friends, and communities. It will answer all those questions you have about what to bring to a new parent, a grieving friend, or allergen-friendly snacks for school. It will also contain all of my go-to recipes like the only birthday cake I ever make for my daughter and the only quiche I ever take anywhere because it is that good. I want this book to be useful for everyone and will be asking what you all want to see in it later this winter so put your thinking caps on! If you have a “what to do I make for…” question about ANY occasion fire away and I’ll do my best to include it in the book just for you.
Finally, early in the New Year you can expect to see a little upgrade on my website. I am giving it a mini-makeover that will be mostly cosmetic with a few new bells and whistles. I am adding in some cool new recipe features, changing advertising services, possibly adding ZipList, and will introduce a new Lifestyle category. I always post a lot of my favorite products and non-cooking related books on my website and decided it was time to incorporate a little Naptime Lifestyle into my everyday banter. This will probably end up being the perfect place to discuss all of my favorite baby products since a lot of new products have been invented since I last had a baby in the house.
I hope you all have a terrific and happy New Year celebration ahead. I’ll be at home sipping my Elderflower Presse (pretending it is champagne) and being grateful for the blessings of 2012 and looking forward to 2013. Next week I’ll be back with my usual recipe line-up as I get ready for the baby event (eek!)
xoxoKelsey
